Product Introduction
Perrin Broca prisms are commonly used to separate harmonics in laser beams and can also be used to compensate for group velocity dispersion. Since the light enters and exits the prism at close to Brewster's angle, the loss of P-polarized light is minimized. After the beam enters the prism at a Brewster angle, it undergoes a total reflection and then exits at a Brewster angle, where the outgoing light is deflected by 90° with respect to the incident light.
